Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Hotel / Airport – Tarangire National Park
Depart with picnic-lunch to Tanzania’s third largest National Park for Game Drives. After Breakfast, depart to Tarangire National park for full day game viewing. Tarangire is the classic Africa of lore with shimmering acacia stands, old baobab trees, Masai herds and herds of elephant. Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. Just before dusk, drive back to the camp. Overnight: 4/5 Star Lodge / Tented Camp.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
In the morning depart with picnic-lunch to Ngorongoro Crater. Descent into the Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Local wildlife includes black manned lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal, and hyena.
In the afternoon continue to Karatu. Overnight: 4/5 Star Lodge / Tented Camp.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast depart with picnic-lunch to Central Serengeti. The drive leads through Ngorongoro Highlands with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge to visit the Museum. In the afternoon first Game Drive in Serengeti National Park. Overnight: 4/5 Star Lodge / Tented Camp.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning and afternoon Game Drives in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti forms together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve, Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The annual wildebeest migration through both of these parks is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rain. But that is not where the game viewing ends: large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in the grassland, gazelles and elands just to mention a few. In the afternoon return to your camp and enjoy aprivate sundowner with your group. Overnight: 4/5 Star Lodge / Tented Camp.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, transfer to nearest airstrip and fly to Arusha / Moshi to your 4/5 star hotel/lodge where you will have lunch and dinner later at night.
